DULUTH, Minn. — Lake Superior University held its annual Health and Wellness Fair on Wednesday.
This event aims to help students learn about healthy lifestyles and how to network. Students will have the opportunity to meet with various community agencies, take free blood tests, and eat healthy snacks.
Also, anyone can participate and learn new things, even if you are not interested in the healthcare field. Organizers hope students leave with enough resources to make healthier choices.
“When you leave home for the first time and go to school, you find yourself in a completely different environment. Mental health issues can arise from some of the choices we make or are a struggle in themselves. So you know that having the resources available to you is of the utmost importance. You need to know what your resources are and be the best health advocate for yourself that you can be. ” says Roxanne Frederick, LSC Health and Wellness Coordinator.
The health fair was held at LSC’s main campus. It’s been going on for over 16 years.
