How exactly Leicester City will handle transfer transactions this summer is just one of many questions needing to be answered at the King Power Stadium.
In this case, only time will tell – firstly, they need to appoint a new manager to replace Enzo Maresca, who has experience in the second division, and secondly, we will see how much the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Regulation (PSR) will affect City’s arrivals and departures over the next two and a half months.
The Foxes are already facing the possibility of a points deduction heading into the new season, so having the ability to challenge above the relegation zone whilst building a squad within the club’s financial means will be crucial in ensuring they stay in the league.

So who are Leicester rumoured to be linked with just three days before the transfer window opens? Leicestershire Live Let’s take a look at the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip surrounding the King Power Stadium…
Bologna make ‘bold’ £10m offer
Viktor Christiansen’s 2023/24 season was an overall success. He was loaned out to Bologna, making 32 Serie A appearances while helping the club qualify for the Champions League. His praise was high for the club, and his contract even included a €15m (£12.6m) option to buy if they wanted to sign the defender permanently.
So will they pay that amount? Corriere dello Sport report that they won’t, with the paper saying the Italian side are willing to withdraw their contractual option and instead offer €11-12 million (£9.2-10.1 million) for a “significantly discounted price”.
Premier League trio in contention for Tammy Abraham
According to Leggo.it (via Vocegiallorossa.it), Leicester City are one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing Tammy Abraham this summer.
The former Chelsea striker has endured an injury-plagued year and is being linked with a move from AS Roma after three years in Serie A, with reports claiming that the Foxes have also shown interest, as well as previous loan clubs Aston Villa and West Ham United.
Prepared to make £15 million offer
One man who has piqued Leicester’s interest in recent months has been Newcastle United’s Sean Longstaff, with the midfielder having one year left on his contract.
Ultimately, his current club are wary of the situation and are ready to make a cash grab, with the Mirror reporting that a £15m bid is currently being prepared for the 26-year-old.
New offer for Wilfried Ndidi
Wilfried Ndidi’s future remains up in the air as his contract at the King Power Stadium approaches the end of June.
The defensive midfielder is likely to remain with the Foxes as negotiations continue, but there is no shortage of suitors for the Nigerian, with TEAMtalk claiming that rivals Everton are in final negotiations on a deal and are hopeful the 27-year-old will opt for a change of scenery in England’s top flight.

Interest in defenders wanes
Spain-born Irish defender Anselmo Garcia-McNulty is believed to be attracting interest from across the continent, with Voetbal International naming City as one of the clubs who have been tracking the 21-year-old’s development.
However, the latest reports suggest that if McNulty does leave PEC Zwolle this summer he is likely to move elsewhere, with the Foxes’ promotion to the Premier League leaving him to search for other targets.
Leeds United are thought to be closing in instead.
Abu Kamara’s stance
The Portsmouth News has named City as one of several English clubs pursuing Norwich City’s Abou Kamara, after the 20-year-old scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists while on loan at Fratton Park last season.
That said, Pompey, the Foxes, Brentford and Stoke City, who were hoping for his full return, are set to be disappointed with his parent club reportedly doing all they can to keep the winger for the new season.
