The national fashion and lifestyle brand best known for its cult-favorite product, the Nap Dress, has opened a Charleston store.
Hill House Home’s newest store is the brand’s largest ever and is located at 145 King Street, on the corner of King and Queen Streets. The store will be the company’s fourth, following locations in New York City, Palm Beach, Fla., and Nantucket Island, according to a news release. The company plans to open a store in Dallas later this year.
The Charleston store will also feature Nell’s, Hill House’s first foray into hospitality. The store, named after founder and CEO Nell Diamond, will feature an old-school coffee and soda bar and a pick-and-mix candy wall, the release said.
Hill House is further expanding its clothing categories, including ready-to-wear, swimwear, accessories and sleepwear, while expanding its home products to include bedding, bath and baby products, the release said.
“I’m excited to open Hill House Home in Charleston, a wonderful place I’ve always loved visiting,” Diamond said in the release. “We partnered with Amanda Lindros to design a space that will be our largest hub to date. We’re excited to welcome visitors to shop and enjoy Nell’s.”

The store was designed by Amanda Lindros, who also designed Hill House’s Palm Beach store, according to the release. Her inspiration behind the interior was to create a clean, classic and feminine space that incorporates the traditional architectural elements Charleston is known for, the release states. The Charleston store is three times the size of Hill House’s current retail store.
Nell’s is a food and beverage concept featuring a classic coffee and soda bar in partnership with Coca-Cola and La Colombe, the release states. Pick ‘n’ Mix Candy Her wall features a variety of British candies, inspired by Nell’s childhood growing up in London.
Since launching bedding in 2016, Hill House Home has expanded into ready-to-wear, shoes and accessories, children’s, wallpaper and more.
