The Mesquite area resort is scheduled for $6 million worth of renovations.
Casablanca Hotel and Casino has announced that it will renovate the property to more than double the size of its current center bar and add a new sports bar and more than 200 new slot machines to the casino floor. Renovation work is expected to begin in May and be completed in the fall.
The facility will remain open during renovations, according to the announcement.
The initiative is a “significant investment” for Casablanca and is aimed at improving the guest experience, said Justin Moore, CEO of Mesquite Gaming, which operates the Casablanca and Virgin River hotels and casinos in Mesquite. ) said.
“We are putting every penny we have into making this already successful resort even more inviting and enjoyable for our guests,” Moore said in a statement.
Mesquite Gaming did not immediately respond to a request for comment, so what, if anything, will Casablanca’s casinos and other operations eliminate or downsize to accommodate the new bar space and slot machines? is unknown.
