WhatsApp has joined the AI race. Meta announced Llama 3, the next generation artificial intelligence model that powers Meta AI, his AI assistant for Instagram, Facebook, Messenger and WhatsApp. WhatsApp will allow users to generate AI images of her in real time for free using the Assistant.
“We’re accelerating image generation so you can now create images from text in real time using Meta AI’s Imagine feature,” the company said in a statement. Meta is rolling out this feature in beta on his WhatsApp and Meta AI Web Experiences in the US.
According to the company, an image will appear when the user starts typing, and the image will change after each few characters are entered. Meta also shared an animation showing the images that appear when you type using Meta AI’s his Imagine feature in a WhatsApp chat.
“The images produced are also clearer and higher quality, and the ability to include text in images has also improved,” Mehta said.
These images can be used to create album artwork, wedding signs, birthday decorations, and more. The AI assistant also provides prompts that allow users to modify their ideas and change images.
Additionally, once users complete an image, they can ask Meta AI to animate it, edit it with new styles, or even turn it into a GIF to share with friends.
Meta AI for Instagram, Facebook and Messenger
This new feature is part of a broader rollout of AI capabilities across all meta apps, including Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger. Recently, WhatsApp and Instagram users in India started accessing Meta AI.
Apart from Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and on the web, Meta AI is also available in the US on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and will also be featured on the Meta Quest headset.
