Businesses are using the Microsoft cloud platform to increase agility, control costs, and improve customer and employee experiences, according to ISG Provider Lens™ report
Singapore and Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, April 18, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Information Services Group (ISG) (Nasdaq: III) is a leading global technology research and advisory firm.
The 2024 ISG Provider Lens™ Microsoft Cloud Ecosystem Report for Singapore and Malaysia shows that more businesses in the region are adopting Microsoft’s expanding platform lineup, including Microsoft 365, Azure (including SAP on Azure), and Dynamics 365. , Power Platform, and Copilot. Businesses are moving to the cloud to reduce costs, increase agility, innovate faster, and even improve the user experience. To achieve these objectives, ISG says it is partnering with providers of managed services such as DevOps and containerization.
“More companies in Singapore and Malaysia are realizing the potential for growth by going cloud-native,” said Michael Gale, partner and regional leader at ISG Asia Pacific. He says, “By using DevOps and other tools, we can introduce new capabilities and revenue streams.”
At the same time, the cloud services market in Singapore and Malaysia is becoming increasingly competitive as local companies begin to challenge larger rivals, ISG said. This trend is likely to continue over the next five years.
While some employees are now returning to offices in these countries, remote and hybrid working is becoming part of long-term corporate strategies, the report said. More and more companies are using Microsoft Cloud platforms, particularly Teams and Viva, to foster a sense of connection among employees and enhance collaboration both internally and externally.
According to ISG, companies in the region are also improving the experience of frontline workers by identifying and providing the right devices, applications, and connectivity. While Microsoft Viva employee experience tools are central to these efforts, companies are also looking into non-intrusive ways to engage with employees, such as cognitive virtual assistants that perform routine tasks so employees can focus on important work. I’m also looking into it.
Microsoft’s Copilot AI companion is starting to democratize access to AI within enterprises, with the new platform allowing employees to automate and tailor their workflows to suit their needs, the report said. AI and Copilot are powering our efforts to improve productivity, harness employee creativity, and retain top talent.
“Copilots has the potential to be a killer app that creates a new world of applications and markets,” said Jan Erik Aase, partner and global leader at ISG Provider Lens Research. “The provider is helping clients become technically ready to use his Copilots in their own environments.”
The report also examines other Microsoft cloud platform trends impacting Singapore and Malaysia, including the GenAI project moving from experimentation to deployment and the increasing use of AI to combat cybersecurity threats.
