Following the release of other Microsoft Office applications earlier this year, Microsoft OneNote is now available for download on Apple Vision Pro. Does this indicate continued collaboration between the two tech giants to expand software compatibility across different platforms, or does this indicate that Microsoft is building on the success of Apple Vision Pro and its future versions? Do I believe in it too much?
OneNote for Apple Vision Pro is a native app designed to use the headset’s spatial computing capabilities. Users can create digital notebooks, take notes, and manage task lists directly within the mixed reality environment. It includes the features you’re familiar with from the iPad version of his OneNote, such as highlighting important notes, adding tags for organization, and password-protecting entries.
Cloud storage integration with OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint allows users to access their notes from any device. Collaboration features also allow you to share notes and ideas with others. Interaction options include voice commands for hands-free use, and support for connecting a physical keyboard and trackpad for a traditional note-taking experience.
- Write notes, create digital notebooks, and jot down notes.
- Use important and to-do tags to highlight notes you can’t miss.
- Password protect your notes and control permissions when sharing them with others.
- Sync your notes to the cloud (OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint) to easily access them from anywhere.
- Share ideas and notes with friends and colleagues.
Core features are available, but some features are still in development. These include the ability to insert content directly from your camera or photos, integration with Microsoft’s Copilot AI assistant, support for two-factor authentication, and more.
Currently, OneNote for Apple Vision Pro only supports personal and work accounts that are not managed by your organization. Users with work accounts managed by your organization cannot sign in at this time.
