Cyrus’ first new song of 2024

Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams are back with their latest collaboration. “Doctor (Work It Out)” is a funky love song that the two artists have finally completed, years after they first started working on it.
Reportedly originally written for Cyrus’ 2013 album bangers, “Doctor (Work It Out)” is the “Flowers” singer’s fifth collaboration with Pharrell and their first song released in 10 years. The song was initially scrapped, but was picked up again and re-recorded in 2023.
Musically, it’s a charming bop that combines Pharrell’s fluid pop flair with Cyrus’ signature glam twang, and features a chorus that instantly gets stuck in your head. A music video directed by Jacob Bixenman was also released to accompany this release. Check it out below.
“Doctor (Work It Out)” will be featured on Cyrus’ big night at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she performed “Flowers” for the first time on TV and won Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year. It arrived in less than a month. (her first Grammy Award win).
The single marks Cyrus’ first release since “Used to Be Young,” released last August.
