As a college student studying film and television, going to the movie theater is one of my favorite pastimes. I believe that the theatrical experience is essential and is what makes movies great. It’s a funny (and iconic) story, but Nicole Kidman had a point when she said, “Heartbreak feels good in a place like this.” But while working as a full-time student, you don’t have a lot of money to spend. Movie tickets are expensive, especially in a city like San Francisco, with basic tickets costing $20 and IMAX tickets nearly $30 each. That’s why I look for bargains everywhere.
My solution was to try AMC A-List during winter break. Of course, if you’re going to pay $25 a month, you should get what you pay for. Since subscribing, I have been to the theater 16 times and have high expectations for many more movies. So, if you’re looking to get back into your theater seat, here are some movies you can go see right now, and some you can look forward to.
Currently in theaters: Dune: Part 2
I’ll be the first to admit that I was behind on my plans. dunes Hype. I didn’t see it when the first one was released, so I finally got around to watching it this year. The first one surprised me, but the second one blew it away. I don’t think I need to convince many people why this movie is worth their time, but I’ll explain just in case. Dune: Part 2 This proves why theater experiences are so necessary. The mesmerizing visuals, great music, and sound design gave me goosebumps many times in the theater. The running time may seem long, but each moment has a purpose. Please see this movie before you leave the theater.
Currently in theaters: Love Lies Breeding
There’s no way to explain it properly Love Lies Breeding That would be justice. This is a funny, thrilling, erotic, absurd, romantic, crazy ride that will make you feel a million different things at once. What begins as a slightly disturbing but sexy romance between gym owner Lou (played by Kristen Stewart) and bodybuilder Jackie quickly turns into a serious and brutal crime-filled thriller. Just when you think you’ve got it figured out, the movie throws you another curveball that makes you wonder, “What just happened?” At the end of the day, Love Lies Breeding ” is something you have to see to believe, and you don’t have much time, so go see it now.

The second movie on this list also stars Zendaya, proving that 2024 is her year. challengers It was highly anticipated, especially after the delays caused by the strike, but it’s almost here.From Luca Guadagnino (Director) call me by your name and bones and everything), this movie is sure to be a thrilling and captivating ride. It follows tennis coach and former tennis player Tashi (Zendaya) as she trains her husband, who has to compete against Tashi’s girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend and her ex-best friend. The cast has already been praised for their great performances, and the film is sure to be one of the best releases of the year. It will be released on April 26th.
Future plans: inside out 2
A sequel about 10 years after the previous work. inside out will be released soon. Excitement was high when the trailer was released, as it is one of the most popular Pixar films ever made. The second installment introduces some exciting new emotions. This includes Maya Hawke (stranger things, take revenge) As Anxiety and Ayo Edebiri (bear, bottoms) as Envy. Personally, I’m going to watch whatever Ayo Edebiri does and I love watching her domination in the film/TV industry over the last few years, so I’m definitely going to attend this event. is. inside out 2. It will be released on June 14th.
So if you want to experience “that indescribable feeling you get when the lights start to dim,” consider going to see one of these movies. We all need it!
