Elon Musk has been slamming Microsoft on the X Platform, formerly known as Twitter. This tech billionaire said he bought a new laptop, but he couldn’t use it without creating a Microsoft account. “I just bought a new laptop, but I can’t use it without creating a Microsoft account. That means I’m giving AI access to my computer. This is a mess. Previously, I couldn’t sign in or use it. There was an option to skip signing in. Creating a Microsoft account. Are you seeing this too?” the X boss tweeted.
But an hour after Elon Musk’s tweet, his own company, Company X, came to the rescue with a solution. The platform added context to Musk’s tweet via a community note: “It is still possible to set up his latest version of Windows without a Microsoft account.”
