OTT platform Netflix is introducing new content for India with a campaign featuring celebrities teasing upcoming shows and movies.
A dedicated Instagram post saw endorsements of new content from celebrities like Kajol, Maheep Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani and Sanjay Kapoor. All three actors are partnering with Netflix on their respective upcoming shows.
In the post, the actors can be seen asking the camera, “What’s next?”, hinting at the new work the platform is aiming to release. A celebrity-driven teaser was released yesterday, but the platform has now revealed the new listing in full.
India’s entertainment lineup includes dramas, thrillers, and mysteries.Historical dramas lead the way Heera Mandi Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Adding to the excitement is Luv Ranjan’s upcoming film titled: wild wild punjab and IC814: Kandahar Attack, a thriller directed by Anubhav Sinha, chronicles the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814. Meanwhile, the drama starring Bollywood icons Kajol and Kriti Sanon is De Patieaims to unravel mysteries in the enchanting hills of North India.
Among other original titles, Netflix has also secured streaming rights to highly anticipated theatrical releases including: Devara, Pushpa: Rules, indian 2and baby john.
Previously, on February 7, 2024, the platform also announced a content slate for international audiences using the same hashtag #Nextonnetflix.
