This week, the major streaming services are offering some fantastic shows and movies, from old favorites to new originals. From adult animation to documentaries to fantasy adventures, there’s plenty of content to keep you entertained all week long.
On Netflix, season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla will be available on July 11, as well as a new animated series based on the card game of the same name, Exploding Kittens, on July 12. On Disney Plus, the latest installment of the Descendants series, Descendants: Rise of Red, will premiere on July 12 (as well as sing-along versions of all three previous films in the series).
HBO and Max are releasing a new documentary, Faye, a feature-length profile of actress Faye Dunaway. You can also catch all of Discovery’s new Shark Week originals. (Some of the year’s most anticipated titles include The Real Sharknado, in theaters July 12, and Alien Shark: Ghosts of Japan, premiering July 11.) Also on July 11, Seth Rogen and friends return to Prime Video in the R-rated animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia, a sequel to the 2016 film Sausage Party.
On Paramount Plus, Kamp Koral: Spongebob’s Under Years Season 2 will premiere with 10 new episodes on July 10, while Hulu will be able to stream the premiere of The Bachelorette’s 21st season on July 9, the day after its primetime premiere on ABC. Check out more of this week’s biggest titles below.

Vikings: Valhalla Season 3 (July 11)
The third and final season of Vikings: Valhalla is available on Netflix this week. The series takes place seven years after the events of season two. The latest season follows the adventures and challenges faced by Freydis (Frida Gustafsson), who now leads Jomsborg, famous Viking Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), and Prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). Season 3 will be available on Netflix from July 11th.
Exploding Kittens (July 12th)
The plot of Netflix’s new animated series Exploding Kittens is simple: God comes to Earth as a house cat (voiced by Tom Ellis) and discovers that his neighbor’s cat is his nemesis, the Antichrist (Sasheer Zamata). The series’ co-creator, Matthew Inman, also created the card game that inspired the series, and executive producers on the series include Mike Judge and Greg Daniels. In Netflix’s words, kittens explode on July 12.

Descendants: The Rise of Red (July 12)
Disney’s hit series Descendants returns this week with a new original movie musical, Descendants: The Rise of Red, which premieres on Disney+ on July 12. The film features a ton of new songs (the original soundtrack will be released the same day as the film) and stars Brandy, Rita Ora, Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker.

The HBO Original documentary “Fay” is a portrait of legendary actress Faye Dunaway, the Academy Award-winning star of “Bonnie and Clyde,” “Chinatown” and “Network.” Dunaway reflects on her life and career through intimate interviews and archival footage. “Fay” premieres Saturday, July 13 on HBO and Max.

Serpent Queen Season 2 (July 12)
Minnie Driver has been leaning into bold, fun TV roles lately, with appearances in Starstruck and Our Flag Means Death, and now she’s bringing that big, queenly energy to Season 2 of the Starz series The Serpent Queen. The show stars Samantha Morton in the title role of the Serpent Queen, Catherine de Medici of France, and Isabelle Jesper-Jones as Edith, with Driver reprising her role as Queen Elizabeth I. The new season premieres on July 12.

Sausage Party: Foodtopia (July 11)
Sausage Party: Foodtopia is a new adult animated series co-written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and a sequel to the 2016 film Sausage Party. In the series, the characters from the film, including Frank (Rogen), Brenda Bunson (Kristen Wiig), Barry (Michael Cera), and Kareem Abdul Lavash (David Krumholtz), create a new land they call Foodtopia, which promises to be safe from human consumption. But when a flood ravages their new home, they end up needing the help of humanity. The series will consist of eight episodes and will premiere on July 11th.
