It’s that time of the month again where you can get a sneak peek at all the movies and TV shows being removed from Netflix UK in the coming weeks.
In July, the streaming platform will be dropping all of its movie content (though not much TV), including heartwarming, sexy romantic comedies like Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Proposal and First Daughter starring Katie Holmes.
The streaming platform is apparently not a fan of the “Christmas in July” concept and will be removing “The Holiday,” so make sure you soak in the romantic woes of Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law and Jack Black before it gets deleted.
Some of the awards’ heavyweights are also walking out, including 12-time Oscar nominee “The Revenant,” starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy, Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street,” 2014 thriller “Gone Girl,” and “The Blind Side,” which has been courting controversy over revelations that it was inspired by a real person.
The action genre is also seeing the demise of several big blockbusters, with Crank, The Transporter 2, Bastille Day and Man on Fire all set to disappear soon.
July is also the month that Netflix will lose many of the workout videos that Nike produced and licensed exclusively to Netflix after the pandemic.
But perhaps the saddest thing is the loss of one of the greatest movie sequels of all time, 2018’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.
Unfortunately for anyone hoping to catch Dune Part 2 belatedly since its release back in March, your opportunity to watch the 2021 predecessor for free as a subscriber is soon to disappear, as it will soon be removed from Netflix.
And in a strange twist, What’s On Netflix reports that Venom will also be removed from Netflix, just weeks before the third film in the series, starring Tom Hardy, Venom: The Last Dance, hits theaters.
But there’s plenty of new content to look forward to.
Eddie Murphy will return in the sequel, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, and ahead of the supernatural horror film Smile and its sequel, the third and final season of TV’s Vikings Valhalla and part one of season six of Cobra Kai are due to be released.
What movies and TV shows will be removed from Netflix in July?
