James McAvoy’s movie rises to the top of Netflix’s most-watched movies, compared to Hugh Jackman’s movie prisoner.
In the film, McAvoy plays Edmund Murray, a secret agent searching for his missing seven-year-old son.
The film, released in 2021, is based on the French film directed by Christian Carrion, who also stars in the lead role. The Crown Claire Foy.
McAvoy revealed that the role was unscripted and that he was not given a script or lines; instead, he was given backstory about the character and improvised the entire role.

“The rest of the cast and crew had the script and we rehearsed it with each other for weeks and another actor played me,” he said.
“I had to learn what was going to happen next as I went along. It was really crazy.”
