March is a busy month for premieres on Hulu, including the hottest high-end drama series set during World War II and the second season of a hit superhero comedy. Other new Hulu originals in March include “Davey and Jones’ Locker,” a Canadian teen comedy about two best friends who discover a multiverse portal in their high school locker, and the co-produced animated teen horror series “Fright.” The second season of “Krewe” will be included. March also brings two new Nat Geo series: “Queens,” narrated by Angela Bassett, which focuses on females in the animal kingdom, and “Photographer,” which showcases world-class nature photographers. New seasons of hit broadcast shows on ABC (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Station 19”) and Fox (“So You Think You Can Dance,” “The Masked Singer”) and his FX original called “Spermworld.” There’s a documentary. With the plethora of superhero movies and TV series released on a regular basis, it’s hard to find a new perspective on the genre, but this British comedy series offers a fresh and entertaining approach. In a world where almost everyone manifests superpowers at the age of 18, aimless young man Jen (Meread Tears) is an unusually powerless human being, with the prejudice of not having superpowers and the familiarity of human beings. I am working through relationships and career struggles.
The show’s second season promises more comedic challenges for Jen and her roommates as they face the end of a romantic relationship. Jen faces a romantic challenge with her shapeshifter boyfriend, who has remained in her cat state for three years. She also enrolls in a clinic that promises to eventually reveal her own superpowers, but nothing comes easy for her in this quirky genre comedy.

“Freaknik: The Wildest Party No One Talks About”
Executive produced by hip-hop icon Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew, Jermaine Dupri, and 21 Savage, this documentary captures the images that cemented Atlanta’s status as the hip-hop capital of the 1980s and ’90s. It records the history of historical events. From its humble beginnings as a student-sponsored spring break college cookout, Freaknik has grown into a massive festival that incorporates many aspects of Atlanta’s burgeoning underground black culture, from music to food.
Director P. Frank Williams explores the legacy of the Freaknik Festival, which was discontinued in 1999 but continues to have a significant influence on hip-hop 25 years later. The fact that an all-star lineup of artists participated in this documentary, including Lil Jon, Killer Mike, Too Short, and Cee-Lo Green, shows how far-reaching Freaknik’s importance still is.

Following last year’s successful Nat Geo limited series “A Small Light,” Hulu is premiering another original drama set during the Holocaust in this series based on Georgia Hunter’s best-selling novel. Inspired by the experiences of Hunter’s own ancestors, the film follows a multi-generational Jewish family from Poland as they try to survive World War II while being separated and facing a variety of dangerous situations. It’s an epic story.
Joey King and Logan Lerman star as members of the Kurtz family who escape the Nazi invasion of Poland via multiple routes. Some are leaving Europe for other parts of the world, while others prefer to remain in hiding. The Kurtz family must face the horrors of war and the Holocaust before they are reunited and begin a new life.
