Netflix’s new TV and movie releases from April 22 to 28, 2024 include comedy special Fern Brady: Autistic Bikini Queen, Will Smith sports drama King Richard; and the supernatural horror comedy-mystery series “Dead Boy Detective.”
Starting April 22, Netflix subscribers who are fans of Scottish comedian Fern Brady can check out her new special, “Fern Brady: Queen of the Autistic Bikini.” In this special, viewers can expect to hear Brady offer a comedic perspective on issues such as death, decline, and the disappointments that come with midlife.
And on April 24th, the 2021 sports biopic King Richard will be available on Netflix. The story focuses on Richard Williams, the father and coach of famous tennis players Serena Williams and Venus Williams. Will Smith, Sanya Sidney and Demi Singleton play the lead roles of Richard, Venus and Serena Williams. The supporting cast includes Aoun Janou Ellis, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, and more.
Finally, on April 25th, subscribers will be able to check out Dead Boy Detective, based on Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner’s comic book series of the same name. This new paranormal comedy-horror show follows friends Charles Roland and Edwin Payne who decide not to go to the afterlife after death and instead remain on Earth to investigate paranormal crimes.
This week, the Swedish drama miniseries “Deliver Me” will also be released on Netflix. This new show follows teenage friends Billy and Dodge as they are introduced to a local gang and then face a new world of violence for which they are unprepared.
