One of Hollywood Studios’ newest theater attractions is closing for renovations.
The Mickey Shorts Theater opened at Hollywood Studios in the spring of 2020, just before the pandemic began. Opened in conjunction with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, the theater draws inspiration from the same modern short film as that attraction. Guests can sit in Mickey-themed chairs and watch Mickey and Minnie’s favorite vacations with never-before-seen animations mixed with clips from favorites like “Pandamonium” and “Couple Sweater.” Watch “Vacation Fun,” a “new” short film that celebrates memories. ”, “Potatoland”, “Croissant de Triomphe”, “Entombed”, “Dumb Luck”, “Al Rojo Vivo”, “Yodelburg”, “Outback at Ya!”. Following the short, there will be a series of themed photo opportunities. This little-known attraction has become a favorite for people looking for a place to escape the Florida heat. However, you will have to spend most of the next month elsewhere.
As per Disney’s renovation calendar, The Mickey Shorts Theater will close on April 29th for renovations and will not reopen until May 25th.
Disney hasn’t announced any details about the renovations, but considering the attraction is relatively new and the closure period is relatively short, we can assume it won’t be too drastic.
Presumably, this is a cleaning and renovation similar to what was done at other Hollywood Studios locations, including Muppet Vision 3D, Frozen Sing-Along, and the Walt Disney Theater, and perhaps the venue’s This will include reupholstering the seats.
