What you need to know
The Nets have quite a challenge ahead of them as they are expected to be blown off the court. After playing just yesterday, they will be on the road to take on the Orlando Magic at Kia Center on February 27th at 7pm ET. The Nets will emerge with a win, while the Magic will stumble from a loss.
The Nets had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that losing streak is no more. They defeated Memphis by a landslide 111-86. Oddsmakers were on the Nets’ side, but the margin was unexpectedly large and they were unable to fully evaluate the team.
Meanwhile, the Magic’s winning streak unfortunately came to an end at three on Sunday. They suffered a big blow, losing 109-92 to Atlanta.
Brooklyn’s victory ended a three-game road drought and improved to 22-35. As for Orlando, the loss lowers their record to 32 wins and 26 losses.
Tuesday’s game will be a game where possession will likely be a big factor. The Nets haven’t given up the ball easily this season, averaging just 11.8 turnovers per game (ranking fourth overall in turnovers per game). However, the Magic are averaging just 13.8 turnovers per game, which doesn’t resemble the Magic’s struggles in this department. Given these competing strengths, it will be interesting to see how their conflict plays out.
