SteelSeries makes some of my favorite gaming headsets, as well as RPS’ favorite wireless gaming headsets. It’s currently discounted to just under £100 compared to the regular price of £175. The Arctis 7+ is a comfortable, great-sounding headset that works with PC as well as all consoles: Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and it’s a great value for the price.
I’ve been using SteelSeries Arctis wireless headsets for years, and the 7+ is a particularly good choice. It’s not the latest of his SteelSeries models in its class (equivalent to the £169 Arctis Nova 7), but it’s definitely in the right place on the price/performance curve.
The improvements to the Nova series are mainly sound and comfort improvements, but I don’t think it’s worth the extra 70%. The 7+ is comfortable thanks to its ski goggle-style headband and balanced design, and its relatively detailed sound is suitable for a wide range of genres. SteelSeries’ GG software is also excellent, with parametric EQ, AI noise cancellation, and a wide range of other features. Battery life is a solid 60 hours, and the microphone quality is good enough for a wireless headset, if not the best in class.
Overall, I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find an overall better headset at this reduced price of £99.99. So, after looking at some reviews (preferably for schemes that write about something like RPS) consider choosing these from the links above.
