Pulivendula Assembly constituency and Kadapa Lok Sabha are strongly allied with the YS family as YSR, Jagan and Vijayamma have never suffered a defeat in the Kadapa belt. For the past two terms, Mr. Jagan had won from Mr. Pulivendula with a staggering majority.
However, the latest political gossip doing rounds on social platforms is that Jagan Mohan Reddy is ready to contest from two constituencies in the elections.
The gossip suggests that Jagan will definitely re-elect from the stronghold of Pulibendula again and will also contest from Vizag or Yemiganur constituency. He could contest in one of two alternative districts.
Jagan wants a safe padding in the second constituency and YS Sharmila and YS Sunita are said to be campaigning against Jagan in Pulivendula. The sympathy factor of YS Vivekananda Reddy and the influence of Sharmila, a descendant of YSR, is likely to influence Pulivendula’s poll trends. This is touted to be the reason why Mr. Jagan is considering his two constituencies in the upcoming elections.
For the time being, this is just hearsay as Mr. Jagan has never contested in the two constituencies in the past. But as the saying goes, nothing is impossible in politics, so anything can happen.
