This is one of the largest local gaming events.
Paul Bunyan Communications is hosting the GigaZone Gaming Championship and Tech Xpo this Saturday at the Sanford Center. This is the seventh time the event has been held in Bemidji.
The event will feature over 10 free game tournaments, many vintage arcade and pinball machines, and exhibits from technology entrepreneurs. There is no cost to attend, and the public will have the opportunity to meet special guest Daniel Feinberg of Pixar Animation Studios.
The Tech Xpo portion of the event is designed to introduce technology innovation to a growing regional audience and help them turn their technology skills and enthusiasm into successful careers in Northern Minnesota.
“[It’s] Bigger and better than ever. We plan to hold more game tournaments than ever before. We’re going to have more arcade and pinball machines so people can walk in and play for free,” said Brian Bissonnette, Paul Bunyan Communications marketing supervisor. “And we have more than 25 exhibitors showcasing technology, including how schools are using technology, potential career paths for people, and companies that are incorporating technology into their operations.” There are people.” And they are looking for potential employees. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for students and potential employees to connect with schools and employers. ”
The doors of the Sanford Center will open to the public at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, and the event will continue throughout the day. The complete schedule can be found on the GigaZone Gaming website.
