The head of Netflix said Brits are “devouring everything” about Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan, as they plan to release four new projects.
Netflix co-chief executive Ted Sandros spoke out about the “controversial” couple’s successful $100 million deal with the streaming platform.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex signed an £80m deal with Netflix in 2020.
Since then, they have released a six-part series about their lives, a dubbed documentary, Live to Lead, a Harry documentary series, Heart of Invictus, and a children’s animation, Pearl.

“The documentary we made about them was [Harry and Meghan] is still one of the most-watched documentaries on Netflix and has been such a huge hit, especially in the UK, that people devour it all.
“They’re controversial, but that’s usually a good thing. You may like them, you may hate them, but you’re watching.”
Last year, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess had acquired the rights to the novel “Meet Me at the Lake.”
It is believed that the new film could be an adaptation of Carly Fortune’s book, set in Toronto.

In a live event compiled by Forbes, Sandros continued: I’m good at attracting attention. ”
Tensions have arisen between Prince Harry and other family members after the couple made several allegations against the royal family in the Netflix series.
The Netflix boss also commented on how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Barack and Michelle Obama were “a gamble and a risk.”
He said: “We basically empower them with the right staff and infrastructure for production.
“Sometimes we bring projects to them. And sometimes they bring projects to us. So it works out.”
A company executive said last month that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are working on a “ton of” projects for the streaming platform, including two “unscripted” projects.
Netflix’s chief content officer Bela Bajra revealed that Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions could produce several different types of content over the next 12 months.
“We actually have a lot of plans in the works,” Bajala said of the couple at a Hollywood event where Netflix announced upcoming movies and TV shows.
Latest royal news:
Mr Bajaria did not provide details about the project, but it is understood that the “unscripted” project could be a separate documentary.
Tensions could worsen if the duke and duchess release a new documentary revealing private information about the royal family.
Another source previously told the Telegraph that “fictional” and “fun” content was being developed.
“There will be more emphasis on fictional scripted content. It will be romantic comedies and feel-good, fun shows,” a source said.
