Prince William has made another public appearance without Kate Middleton.
Prince Charles continues to evade and deflect questions about his wife’s health issues while acting as a representative for his ailing father.
People want to know how she is, and the Royal Office’s dishonesty and PR blunders about Kate’s health have made the situation worse.
The only recent appearance Prince William made without cancer-stricken Duchess Kate was at a reception for someone close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but the pair also did not attend.
Prince William visits Chester Cathedral without Kate Middleton
On Friday, June 7, Prince William attended a wedding in Chester, England.
Prince Charles was at the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, to Olivia Henson. (Just to be clear, “Duke of Westminster” is Grosvenor’s title. Sorry, this is not about a threesome.)
Prince William arrived without Kate Middleton, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment and health recovery, making it a “bachelors only” affair.
Kate wasn’t the only notable absentee from the wedding.
Hugh Grosvenor is a mutual friend of Princes William and Harry, and is also godfather to Princes Archie and George.
However, Harry was not there. Telegraphthe Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Westminster have reached an “agreement”.
Why couldn’t Prince Harry attend?
Reports indicate that Grosvenor and Harry remain friends, and it’s likely Harry wanted both of his royal brothers to attend his wedding.
But for now, William has chosen to distance himself from his brother, and while Harry has spoken out about his experiences in the royal family, William clearly resents him for it (and perhaps for living his life the way he wants to).
Unfortunately, sometimes event organizers must choose between two loved ones whose attendance is mutually exclusive, and somehow William ended up receiving an invitation to this wedding.
That’s a real shame. Of course, there are some people, even family members, who should never be together again. But this is a sad case of estranged siblings, not a case of the harm-doer and his victim. I hope that one day they will reconcile.
On the other hand, Kate Middleton’s absence is less socially awkward — indeed, Prince William attended the wedding without Kate, but that wasn’t unexpected.
This isn’t the first time Prince William has left Kate behind to attend an official event, and hopefully the fact that he’s carrying out his regular royal duties is a sign that Kate is doing better than ever.

Kensington Palace has been conspicuously tight-lipped about Kate’s health, and what should be a private health issue becomes public when the cancer patient is a member of a taxpayer-funded family, especially when Kate’s father-in-law is the ceremonial head of state.
Reports have repeatedly stressed that Kate’s fans won’t be seeing much of her in the coming months – in fact, her royal calendar is empty until 2025.
