However, her personal life remained dark.
Around this time, her mother decided to seek the help of a psychic to predict Wood’s future, but the results were not what anyone expected.
Instead of prophesying fame and fortune, she prophesied death.
But the important thing to remember is the cause of death.
She was told that “dark water” would kill her, which led to a lifelong fear of water, and even her own swimming pool.
It is reported that Wood never learned how to swim because he was so afraid of drowning.
Fast forward to 1981, and Wood was dining on a boat near Catalina Island with her husband Robert Wagner and co-star Christopher Walken.
At some point during the night, Wood fell into the water and drowned.
However, her case was reopened, and many suspected that Wagner had played a role in her death, as Wood was extremely afraid of water.

The case received renewed attention in 2013 when the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office changed the cause of death to “drowning and other undetermined factors,” but Wagner was never charged with her untimely death, and Walken was never charged. There was no evidence linking it to any crime.
The LA Times said a revised report found evidence of abuse from the night she drowned, and CBS News said Wagner was considered a “person of interest” when the case was reopened in 2018. Even reported.
However, the psychic’s prediction somehow came true in the end.
We will never know whether this was due to a prophecy told to the actress, which made her scarred and afraid to learn how to swim, or whether it was just a terrible tragedy.
