Alan Ritchson’s star is on the rise. Not only does he steal the show as the lead on Prime Video; Reacherthe actor transitioned to the big screen with roles such as: fast x and Ministry of Ungentlemanly War.
Looking to the future, Ritchson appears to have his sights set on further establishing himself as a leading figure. However, it doesn’t sound like he’s looking to appear in any future Marvel Cinematic Universe projects.
“Like everyone else, I sit and yawn as Marvel movies regurgitate comic book storylines I’ve seen a thousand times because that’s the only way studios feel they can make money. is” he told GQ. “I want to be the solution, I want to do something.”
“So I’m using everything I have to create new and compelling stories. That’s my mission.”
This somewhat contradicts Ritchson’s repeated declarations that he is interested in playing Batman in the DCU…that world and its characters are simply far more appealing to him than any of Marvel’s superheroes. Except in case.
But he’s no stranger to the DC Universe; titans and aquaman’s small building. “Out of probably 3,000 people who auditioned, I was the only one who didn’t feel some kind of emotion.” Ritchson says of the latter: “I followed my instinct to be natural. He happens to be a superhero, but he’s also just a guy.”
This is what it is about Reacher The star previously spoke about the possibility of playing the Dark Knight in the DCU:
“I’d love to play Batman. So I said, okay? Shout it from the rooftops! I want to be Bruce Wayne! Here’s the thing about Batman. I know what his superpowers are. Intellect. He’s inventive, he’s got all the tools. But he’s very smart.”
“I want to be that guy and have a cave with hypercars. Sports cars and great bikes. I’m into that kind of thing.”
“The fact that people are interested in me playing Batman is a real honor and honor. Batman was one of the first characters I fell in love with as a kid. I still remember seeing a big, long pistol coming out of my pants as I headed towards it.” Shoot down the Batplane.
“Those iconic moments really resonated with me as a kid. For me to see the conversation and rumors surrounding this role…I can’t help but laugh. I just think that’s what we are.” I think it’s a wild place to be. I would love to do that. [play him]. ”
