Shortly after the ladies finished up “Hot Topics” on Monday, June 10, Whoopi Goldberg made an interesting discovery.
“I have no idea what’s going on on The View,” she told the audience about halfway through the show. “Sometimes I look up and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, this is amazing.’ And then I look across and I’m like, ‘Oh my god! There’s Ryan Reynolds!'”
And sure enough, sitting in the front row in the audience were Ryan and his mom, Tammy Reynolds, an avid viewer of the show who was in town to see her grandchildren and asked her famous son if she could help out.

Ryan explained that he called the show and said, “I’m Blake[Lively]’s husband,” and asked if he could be on the show. And they did!
“It’s a lot less stressful here than it is over there, by the way,” Ryan joked as the camera panned to the audience.
Co-host Alyssa Farrah Griffin, who was happy to have the famous family tune in to the show, casually invited Tammy and Ryan to come back, adding, “Tell Blake to come!”
