Yesterday, Samsung unveiled refreshed high-end OLED, IPS, and VA models in its Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor, and ViewFinity lineups. Improvements introduced to the monitors include near-universal AI enhancements, with 4K AI monitors now able to upscale content to 4K onboard in real time while maintaining gaming-friendly latency.

*There are some monitor models not listed here. However, these are usually minor changes (such as screen size) or slightly downgraded or upgraded versions of the main 32-inch product.
**These monitors primarily use their own branded HDR10 and HDR10+ ratings, but at brightness levels that are deemed insufficient for proper DisplayHDR. (500 and up). However, OLED and VA panels have better per-pixel dimming, so support for HDR signals is still good here.
***The most notable omission is the 27-inch G60SD Odyssey OLED, a 1440p 360 Hz panel. And it’s the fastest overall of the new batch.
This year, Samsung’s Odyssey OLED monitors are promoting high refresh rates as a key feature, with 4K models boasting refresh rates of up to 240Hz and 1440p models delivering up to 360Hz refresh rates. As well as integrating the NQ8 Gen3 AI processor used in Samsung’s 8K TVs, the 4K OLED G8 can upscale content to 4K when using the Samsung Gaming Hub or native TV app.
All OLED models come equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, Samsung OLED Safeguard+, and OLED Flare Free Technology, the latter two features protecting the OLED from screen burn-in and image quality degradation caused by glare, respectively.
Samsung’s smart monitor upgrades also include an NQM AI processor for the 4K Smart Monitor M8, as well as its proprietary Active Voice Amplifier Pro and 360 Audio Mode features. 360 Audio Mode only works when paired with Samsung’s Galaxy Buds, while another Smart Monitor feature, Workout Tracker, also requires pairing with a Galaxy Watch.
Finally, new feature upgrades to Samsung’s professional ViewFinity monitors focus on improved recyclability and tool-free easy setup stands, in addition to the usual pro features such as Eye Care. The S80UD notably includes a KVM switch and can charge devices at 90 watts via USB-C.
