Sidney Sweeney has hit back at producers who claimed she was “not pretty” and “can’t act”.
Sweeney is one of Hollywood’s top talents these days, appearing in films such as: euphoria, anyone but you and white lotus.
But it seems not everyone is a fan of the 26-year-old actor, with film producer Carol Baum recently making her feelings towards Sweeney clear.
Baum is known for working on films such as: father of the bride, good girland fly away home.
And earlier this week, she made headlines when she sat down with New York Times film critic Janet Maslin in front of fans.
“I don’t understand Sidney Sweeney. I wanted to see a Sidney Sweeney movie and I watched it on the plane,” she said.
“I wanted to know who she was and why everyone was talking about her.
“I saw this unwatchable movie – sorry to those who love this movie – [this] A romantic comedy where they hate each other. ”
Bohm explained how he used ideas about Sweeney in the classes he taught at the USC School of Motion Picture Arts.

“I said to the class, ‘Describe this girl. She’s not pretty and she can’t act, so why is she so attractive?'” she said.
“No one had an answer, but the question was: ‘If you could make your movie because she’s in it, would you make it?’
Looking back on that exchange, Bohm concluded: There’s no one I know. Your job is to make movies. ”
Many fans and people who worked with Sweeney were quick to defend Sweeney after Bohm’s comments.
Teddy Schwartzman, co-producer of new film spotless, told X: “Mr. Baum, two-time Emmy nominee Sydney Sweeney is not only one of the most talented actresses I’ve ever worked with, but also incredibly smart.” , I will teach you to be kind and humble.”

And Sweeney, in turn, fired back at Hollywood producers.
A representative for the actor told UNILAD: “How sad that a woman who is in a position to share her expertise and experience chooses to attack other women instead. That’s why she is in this industry. “It’s something I’ve learned for decades and I feel it’s appropriate to teach it to my students.” , it’s embarrassing.
“His unwarranted disdain for his fellow female producers speaks volumes about Ms. Bohm’s character.”
Boehm later told TMZ that he regrets his comments.
UNILAD has contacted Baum for further comment.
