Microsoft has announced its first price increase for Dynamics 365 in five years. Users, who may have been exempt from such price increases in the difficult post-pandemic economic climate, are about to see a fairly significant increase in their monthly costs.
In a blog post announcing the changes, Brian Good, corporate VP of business applications and platforms, said Dynamics 365 has transformed customer relationship management (CRM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) processes.
Across 12 pricing categories, Microsoft applied an average price increase of 11.5%, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce seeing the largest price increase of 16.7%.

Over the years, new features and enhancements have been introduced to Microsoft Dynamics 365, making the suite more powerful than it was five years ago. Perhaps this, combined with rising global costs, could result in more expensive plans.
In a separate post disclosing the new prices, Goode acknowledged that on-premises products will also see the same percentage increase, and that prices for some products will remain unchanged.
Mr Good also acknowledged that new and existing customers (renewing after the changes take effect) will face higher prices. This change is scheduled to take effect from October 1, 2024, and will be made in line with the US government’s 10% increase in list prices, which Microsoft says is “to comply with local regulations.”
A “further smaller price increase” will also be introduced a year later, on October 1, 2025.
Microsoft also says that customers not only want to provide the best value to their customers, but also want to build their They also claim that they are unlocking their own values.
