SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Since the City Council banned the use of “No Chance” gaming machines on February 12, 2024, the Springfield Police Department (SPD) has identified 26 different businesses that violated the city’s recent ban. A total of 36 citations were issued.
The department’s Community Services Division is responsible for enforcing the ordinance and verifying compliance.
SPD says these companies have received at least one citation since Assembly Bill 2024-19 was passed.

Torch Electronics, one of the gaming equipment companies, has already sued the city, arguing that its gaming machines are still legal under the ordinance.
