Mitchell died one day earlier, on Saturday, February 24, according to his obituary.
“Ken was widely known as an actor in many movies and television shows,” the statement added. “He has played an Olympic candidate, an apocalyptic survivor, an astronaut, a superhero father, and four unique star trekkers. But for those close to him, he seeks hope. He was seen as a person, a daydreamer, a dreamer, a soccer player, a beach walker, a bear hugger, a landscape designer, a horticulturist… Susan’s partner, and above all, a proud father.”
Kenneth is survived by his wife; susan mitchelland their two children: Lyla and Callum.
“Ken was the keeper of countless friendships. You were drawn directly into his orbit, like a megastar exploding with kindness, purity, and a certain stupidity,” X’s statement said. was continued. “Once captured, Ken will flood you with positivity, thoughtfulness, and cheerfulness, and he will make you feel so loved.”

Kenneth was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, or commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease) in 2018.
“For five and a half years, Ken faced a series of terrifying challenges with ALS. And in true Ken fashion, he rose through each one with grace and a determination to live a full and joyful life every moment. ” the obituary added. “He lived by the principle that every day is a gift and that we never walk alone. His life was about how living with love, compassion, humor, inclusivity, and community can help people. It is a shining example of what it means to be fulfilled.”
Kenneth continued to act even after receiving his diagnosis.
