“Studio Ghibli Fest 2024” hosted by GKIDS will open with the re-release of 2001 Ghibli classics Spirited away. The re-release will only be possible for a five-day screening in the United States. GKIDS and Fathom are hosting this year’s film festival in the wake of recent Oscar wins. boy and heron.

The film will be screened in both the original Japanese dubbed version and the English dubbed version. Spirited away is a beloved classic animated film directed by famous animator and director Hayao Miyazaki and produced by Studio Ghibli. The film, distributed by Toho, grossed $395.8 million worldwide. In addition, it was the highest-grossing movie in Japan for 19 years (total box office revenue of 31.68 billion yen (305 million yen million US dollars)). Of the two Ghibli films, it won the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
