Schenectady, New York – Union College will host its annual giving challenge, ADay4U, on Tuesday, April 16th and Wednesday, April 17th. On this day, students, alumni, friends, parents, and staff come together to celebrate and support Union for his 1,795 minutes.
ADay4U’s gift to the athletics department will supplement the team’s budget and provide approximately 600 student-athletes with the best possible experience, including upgraded and expanded travel, additional team apparel, additional technology equipment, and more. helps provide. Current challenges in athletics:
Women’s Athletics Foundation: Don Lehman ’66 will match all donations to the Women’s Athletics Fund 2:1 up to $50,000.
baseball: Eighty donors to the baseball team will receive $8,000 from John Bastard ’76.
Women’s basketball: All gifts to the women’s basketball team will be matched by the Union Basketball Family (up to $5,000).
football: 225 donors to the football team will receive $10,000 from Keith ’95 and Nicole ’94 Lombardo.
Men’s hockey: All gifts to the men’s hockey team will be matched (up to $50,000) by Mort Silver ’55.
Men’s lacrosse: 220 donors to the men’s lacrosse team will receive $10,000 from John Keller ’91.
women’s lacrosse: 100 donors to the women’s lacrosse team will win $1,000 from Keri (Messa) Foley ’98.
Men’s and Women’s Tennis: All gifts to the tennis team will be matched (up to $5,000) by Friends of Union Tennis.
Men’s and Women’s Track and Field: All gifts to the track and field team will be matched (up to $5,000) by Christopher Strohsahl ’01.

Class of 1987: Thirty donors from the class of 1987 will receive $10,000 from Jeff Zorn ’87, P’17.
Class of 1989: Twenty-four donors from the Class of 1989 will receive $3,000 from Hilary Plattus ’89.
First time donor: Fifty first-time donors will receive $1,500 from the Alumni Council.
500 donors: 500 donors will receive $15,000 from Trustees David Breazzano ’78 and Denise Breazzano.
1,000 donors: 1,000 donors will receive $20,000 from Trustees David Breazzano ’78 and Denise Breazzano.
1,500 donors: 1,500 donors will receive $40,000 from Trustees David Breazzano ’78 and Denise Breazzano.
