These are the five best new TV shows streaming in June.
Dark Matter (Apple TV+)

Based on Blake Crouch’s 2016 novel of the same name, this new sci-fi thriller sees Jason, played by Joel Edgerton, a man who is kidnapped and thrown into another life. In Jason’s world, he’s married to Daniella, played by Jennifer Connelly, and they have a teenage son called Charlie. He must figure out how to return to his family to save them from his alter-ego, who has secretly taken his place. The drama keeps you on the edge of your seat as the alternate Jason goes to any length to stop the original Jason from returning to his family and revealing the truth.
Bodkin (Netflix)

If you like dark humor and murder mysteries, this new seven-episode Netflix series is a must-watch. Created by British author Jen Scharf, this new TV show stars Will Forte as a true crime podcaster who teams up with Dublin-born investigative journalist Dove Maloney to investigate a 20-year-old cold case in the small Irish town of Bodkin. Years ago, three people went missing from the town. As Gilbert (Forte), Dove and their assistant Emmy begin interviewing locals, they soon discover that the people of Bodkin don’t want to dig up their past.
Queenie (Hulu)
Premiering Friday, June 7th
Also a book adaptation, this new Hulu series is based on the 2019 book by Candice Carty Williams. The eight-part British TV drama follows 25-year-old Queenie Jenkins, a Jamaican-British woman struggling to fit into two cultures at the same time. After a messy break-up with her longtime boyfriend, she tries to find solace in all the wrong places and finds herself having to confront her past.
Phantasmus (Max)
Premiering Friday, June 7th
New comedy series Los Espukis The six-episode TV series stars Julio Torres and follows his journey to find an earring after he loses it at a New York dance club. Problemista The writer-director-actor’s drama is a surreal, bizarre and eccentric exploration of queer life in the modern world. Other stars include Saturday Night Live‘s Bowen Yang and Andy Bryant, Emma Stone, Steve Buscemi, Emma Stone, Paul Dano. If you haven’t seen it yet, Problemista But with Torres and Tilda Swinton in the lead roles, it’s just a rental.
Presumed Innocent (Apple TV+)
Premiering Wednesday, June 12th
Starring Jake Gyllenhaal, this legal thriller is based on Scott Turow’s 1987 novel. Adapted by David E. Kelley, the new TV show follows a murder case that changes the face of the Chicago DA’s office when one of his employees, Rusty Savitch (played by Gyllenhaal), becomes a suspect in the crime. After a colleague is found murdered, he wants to take on the case. When details of his relationship with the late Carolyn Polhemus come to light, he suddenly finds himself questioning his motivations for taking on the case.
