There’s nothing I love more than rotting at home and watching a show while the world spins like crazy. Also, if you just sang this Weepies song, give me a call, ’cause I love you. Please help me learn how to do it despite my lack of concentration. As you know, I’m a die-hard Bravo fan, but now I have a side piece called Mr. Bravo. Netflixand he’s great.
Seriously, Netflix’s reality show Department is appropriate. I will direct you to my top selections that are out there right now. However, keep in mind that I like different things, so all my selections are quite diverse. But I have kids who often join me on Netflix Cocoon, and I support their bonfire choices.
devil’s plan
Netflix only has one season of The Devil’s Plan, but a second season is in the works. Despite its idiosyncrasies, this Korean game show is still a series worth binge-watching. There are 12 episodes and each episode is just over an hour long. This makes it easy to sink hard into the sofa and not be able to tell where the sofa fabric begins and ends.
The premise is that 12 contestants will live together for a week. There’s crying, social aspects, math, prison, crying, games, “deathmatches,” escaped contestants, and crying too. As for the title, contestants are forced to make a choice between the “devil” as they decide whether to choose their “personal interest” or the “common good.” When in doubt, try Ramyeonmokgaleo (chill in Korean for watching on Netflix).
nailed it!
It really pisses me off that I didn’t invent the concept of “Nailed It!” What we probably all have in common is this: We all want to be great parents, friends, neighbors, and/or humans, right? That’s why whenever an event occurs, we turn to pros like Pinterest for ideas.
And after finding the most amazing thing imaginable, we all think, “Maybe I can do that too.” But when we do “it” everything goes to hell. Introducing his seven hysterical, relatable, family-friendly seasons of Nailed It! On Netflix.
love on the spectrum
My friends, representation and diversity are important. We need a wider range of perspectives on screen: race, gender, sexual orientation, different abilities, religious perspectives, and more. Love on the Spectrum does just that, with two wholesome seasons already uploaded to Netflix.
In this series, adults on the autism spectrum navigate the complex world of dating. They not only involve their families, but also an incredibly supportive production team, often breaking the fourth wall to guide their stars. Oh, and try your best not to cry happy tears after watching season 2’s “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” duet. IYKYK.
great british bake off
You could waste an entire week watching The Great British Bake Off. There will be 14 binge seasons, additional specials during the holiday season, and several charity fundraisers as well. I can’t explain why, but I love watching the food being cooked in the tent and listening to the stories of kind-hearted British people. If you think this is lame, feel free to (kindly) ignore it.
dubai bling
Dubai Bling Season 2 only arrived on Netflix earlier this year, but if you love Real Housewives of Dubai, you’ll love this similar series. While RHODubai focuses on housewives, Dubai Bling tends to focus on prominent businessmen, each of whom lead a lifestyle that makes them feel horribly glamorous and needy. However, there is no need to worry. They are all equally catty and messy. Additionally, their families often appear on-air as well, providing plenty of backstory and helping you fully connect with each cast member.
Clean up with Marie Kondo
An organized life leads to an organized mind. Insert Marie Kondo’s “Tidying Up” to help guests decide what to keep and what to throw away. After watching one season of Her on Netflix, I went through my belongings and donated anything that didn’t “bring me joy.” Afterwards, I felt like I could breathe easier and I realized that this Marie Kondo was onto something.
Old enough!
My kids are obsessed with “Old Enough!” because this Netflix series is beyond hysterical and priceless. In this production, young children, approximately 2 to 5 years old, are sent on errands of their own and accompanied by a camera crew. They do everything from shopping for meals for the family to visiting shrines and delivering food. She has two seasons on Old Enough. It’s streaming now, so check it out if you’re in need of a laugh.
the floor is lava
One thing my kids love is the Floor Is Lava series. There are three seasons available on Netflix so far, and it’s exactly what you’d expect. Contestants must pass through an obstacle course, where one wrong step can send them spiraling into a pit of lava beneath their feet. However, after seeing this, don’t be surprised if your family tries to set their own course by adding a godspeed aspect to your lovely ramp.
Circle
Season 6 of The Circle has arrived on Netflix, and it looks like it’s going to be good. In this series, a small number of players move into separate apartments within the same building. They only communicate through the app, but some contestants lie about who they are. After numerous rankings, only one cast member remains and they take turns receiving the prize money.
