So that got us thinking about some great TV shows that were filmed in Yonkers.

Though the show is set in Washington DC, most scenes were actually filmed around New York City, including Yonkers and Yonkers Station. The TV series centers on a notorious criminal named Raymond “Red” Reddington. Red has been on the FBI’s most wanted list for years, but suddenly gives in with a surprising offer: help the FBI catch other dangerous criminals, but only if he can work alongside a rookie FBI profiler named Elizabeth Keen.
Each episode introduces a new high-profile criminal on Red’s mysterious blacklist, and the FBI goes on a slew of chases and undercover operations. If you like sci-fi mysteries, Severance is a TV show you should watch. It tells the story of the lives of executive employees of Lumon Industries who undergo a surgery called Severance. The surgery splits their memories in two. Innie is the version of herself that exists only in the sterile office environment with no memory of her private life. Outie is the version of herself that enjoys life outside of Lumon but can’t remember what happens at work. But things start to change when some employees start to question what is really going on. The show is available on Apple TV+.
Orange is the New Black
Have you ever wondered what life is like in prison? Orange is the New Black takes you inside Litchfield Prison, a minimum security women’s prison, through the eyes of Piper Chapman. Piper is a privileged young woman from Brooklyn whose perfect life changes dramatically when she is sentenced to 15 months for a crime she committed 10 years ago.
While in prison, Piper meets a variety of people who become her friends and enemies. Orange is the New Black is available to watch on Netflix, but the best way to enjoy this TV show and other Netflix content is with a reliable internet connection, such as: Dish Internet.
Secretary
Madam Secretary tells the story of a former CIA analyst and college professor who suddenly becomes the US Secretary of State. She returns to public service and must use her wisdom and experience to tackle a global crisis. The show was actually filmed in a variety of locations around New York City, including, of course, Yonkers.
Law and Order: Special Victims Unit
Law & Order SVU is a crime drama about a special police unit in New York City, an elite unit that tackles difficult cases involving sexual assault and abuse. The show may not be for everyone, as it has some provocative scenes, but the detectives work tirelessly to investigate these crimes and ensure justice prevails. Although the entire show is not set in Yonkers, some episodes were filmed on Van Cortlandt Park Avenue and Radford Street.
