Well, according to Nicole Kidman, this magical place where dazzling images are projected on a giant silver screen is none other than AMC Theaters. Obviously, they make the movie better.
Kidman’s iconic AMC Theater monologue has been parodied, recreated, and even commercialized. People dress up like his AMC Nicole Kidman for Halloween. Some even buy Loungefly backpacks to go with her famous pinstripe suits. One simple AMC promotion turned out to be a huge pop culture moment. In fact, the staff at AllEars is also crazy about Australia’s AMC queen. So when I found out, Naturally, we were freaked out because a new version of this cultural phenomenon is about to arrive.
Are you sitting down for this? Start now, A new 30-second version of AMC’s Nicole Kidman ad will air in AMC stores nationwide. Look out for two additional “never seen in theaters” commercials based on the original pre-show. According to Variety, they are set to debut later this year.
As I said earlier, AMC believes in making movies better. And you know what? We admit it: When the lights dim and Nicole Kidman’s voice narrates, “we come to this place for the magic” and we can’t help but say those words right then and there with her. You can’t do that at home, right?

Would I be a little sad to miss the OG version of this ad? Yes. Yes, it is. But heartbreak feels good in a place like this, so I don’t get too upset. It’s a changing of the guard (same guard, slightly different advertising). Preparations for replacement are complete. Now, which movie should we go see?
