Kyle Marisa Ross, the popular TikTok creator known for sharing controversial celebrity gossip and insight into Hollywood, has died, her family has confirmed.
She was 36 years old.
The family has not disclosed the date or cause of death.
Known for his catchphrase “Do you want more?” I’ll give you more.” Ms. Ross posts multiple times a week about blind items, big crimes, scandals and causes she cares about, and on the platform she has amassed 200,000 followers.
“Kyle loved really fiercely. She was a truth seeker. A truth teller. This incredible love and support that the world, literally the world, gives us is a blessing to our family. It means a lot,” Kyle’s mother, Jacqueline Ross, told NBC News on Tuesday.
She said the family is considering when and how to share information about their daughter’s death.
The news first surfaced in a post her mother shared on LinkedIn on Monday.
“My message as her mother is the toxicity, the meanness of what so many people have faced and tried to deal with because of TikTok, what Kyle has faced, and that toxic space. I hope she lives her life with Kyle’s brightness and her beautiful soul and spirit,” Ross said.
Kyle’s sister Lindsey Ross also posted on Instagram on Monday: “My sister Kyle Marisa passed away last week. As a family, we are still figuring out how to appropriately celebrate and honor her life. “We are still making a decision. We still don’t know what happened.”
“I know she touched many people with her humor, intelligence, beauty, gossip activities, athletic ability, etc. She had so many talents,” she wrote. Ta. “My deepest sympathies go out to those who know of this loss at this time. Blessings and prayers of intent for a smooth transition for this soul are greatly appreciated.”
“Uncut Gems” actor Julia Fox commented on the post: “She’s been crying ever since the news broke on TikTok because she’s so shocked,” she said, adding, “She was a ray of sunshine and she will be sorely missed.”
Jacqueline Ross said the family has been receiving messages from people about Kyle’s “love, resourcefulness, what he showed the world” and his passion for the cause.
“I received a wonderful message from a woman about how passionate Kyle is about Indigenous people and how he supports raising awareness of Indigenous issues,” she said.
Kyle was also passionate about colon cancer awareness, his mother said. She was inspired by the 1998 movie Patch Adams, and at one point she thought she wanted to attend medical school and become a doctor who could heal people with humor.
Kyle’s TikTok account was flooded with comments from followers asking about her unusual absence earlier this week. Since the news broke on Monday, he has been flooded with messages of condolence and love.
“She loved so hard all her life, and that’s what we’re going to miss so much. How hard she loved,” Jacqueline Ross said.
