There is currently a period of time between the end of Raw’s contract with USA Network and its debut on Netflix, which TKO’s CFO mentioned in the company’s earnings call. As reported, WWE Raw is set to debut on Netflix in January 2025, three months after its contract with USA Network expires in September. During TKO’s fourth quarter earnings call, Andrew Schleimer discussed the situation and stated that while nothing is in place at this time, he intends to find a place for Lowe during that period.
Schleimer said (via Fightful):
“We also plan to renew our license to distribute Raw in the U.S. for 90 days from October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024 or seek an alternative provider before moving to Netflix, as described below.” Together, these domestic licenses represent a very significant portion of the revenue and profitability of our media division. We cannot provide any guarantees as to the outcome of these negotiations, and existing agreements cannot be renewed. If this occurs, or if we are unable to find an alternative streaming or distribution partner, our results of operations may be adversely affected.”
He continued, “We believe ‘Raw’ will air in the fourth quarter. We have no further information. We feel pretty positive about it.”
