Hollywood producers have slammed Sidney Sweeney, claiming she “can’t act” and is “not beautiful.”
The “Euphoria” actress is considered one of the industry’s biggest rising stars, having previously starred in films such as “Father of the Bride,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” and “Fly Away Home.” Carol Bohm, who appeared in the film, was not able to make a good impression. She branded the 26-year-old star’s latest film Anyone But You “not worth watching” and claimed the blonde beauty “doesn’t get it”.
According to a report from DailyMail.com, Carroll met New York Times film critic Janet Maslin before a screening of the 1988 film “Dead Ringers” at the Jacob Burns Center in Pleasantville, New York. He reportedly said, “There’s an actress now that everyone loves, and that’s Sydney Sweeney.”
“I don’t understand Sidney Sweeney. I wanted to see a Sidney Sweeney movie, so I watched it on the plane.
“I wanted to know who she was and why everyone was talking about her.
“I saw this unwatchable movie – sorry to the people who love this movie – [this] A romantic comedy where they hate each other. ”
Referring to a producing class she teaches as part of the USC School of Cinematic Arts, she says, “I say to the class, ‘Describe this girl. She’s not pretty, she can’t act. Why is she so hot?’ ” he added.
“No one had an answer.”
However, Carroll suggested that she would continue to work with Sydney if the actress’ presence had any chance of getting the project off the ground.
Furthermore, she added: “But then the question was asked, ‘If you could make your movie because she’s in it, would you make it?'”
“I said, ‘That’s a really good question…It’s a very difficult question to answer, because we all want to make a movie, but who’s going to ignore the green light and walk away? No one I know. Your job is to make movies.’
