The Traitors bosses reportedly want Courteney Cox to be the first signee for the celebrity spin-off.
The Friends legend previously appeared in skits for the show with her friend and Traitors host Claudia Winkleman, and producers are said to be keen to have her appear.
“Hiring Courtney would be a real coup,” a source told The Sun’s TVBiz column.
They hope to ensure the spin-off show has a star-studded lineup of celebrities, as the main series has already proven popular around the world.
The source added, “The fact that the producers are considering a star from “Friends” shows the high quality of celebrities that “Celebrity Traitors” is aiming for.”
“After the show was announced, the producers were inundated with calls from big name celebrities and their agents wanting to throw them in the ring, many of which were a big surprise.
“Courtney has always been a fan of the show, especially the British version, which stars her partner Claudia.”
Zoe Ball, Andrew Scott and Claire Foy are all big fans of Traitor, and Rylan Clarke even threatened to chop off Claudia’s iconic bangs if she wasn’t chosen for the spin-off.
He told Radio Times Magazine: “The only thing I don’t want to do is be a contestant again, unless it’s on Celebrity Traitors. I’d go to town on it.”
“Literally every time I see Claudia, I think, ‘Why isn’t this being done? If you don’t get this fixed, I’m going to cut your bangs off, baby.'”
Meanwhile, Claudia previously revealed her wish list for potential contestants on the celebrity edition.
Ahead of the show’s second series, which will air earlier this year, she told reporters: “Victoria Coren Mitchell, so you can hug her. I know her, but that sounds weird. ” he said.
“Adam Woodyatt, always. Andrew Garfield and Stephen Fry will also be there.”
