A lot of thought goes into the selections, and the debates about what to include and what not to include can sometimes get heated and feelings can get hurt, but that’s okay – this is an important service to you, our readers. So, here are this week’s picks:
15. Doctor Who (Disney Plus)

14. evil (Paramount Plus)

American Godzilla movies Godzilla vs. Kong: The New Empire is fun, but the recent Japanese Godzilla movies are masterpieces. We are female genitalia is the kind of show that’s worth subscribing to your streaming service. If you don’t have Peacock, check out creator Nida Manzoor’s raucous, Peabody Award-winning comedy about an all-female British Muslim punk band. The cast is amazing, led by Lady Parts members Anjana Vasan (guitarist Amina), Sarah Kameela Impey (singer Saira), Juliette Motamed (drummer Ayesha) and Faith Omole (bassist Bisma), and the soundtrack is amazing. 8. Perfect Days (Hulu)

To quote Lou Reed, “Oh, it’s a perfect day / I’m glad we’re together.” Perfect DaysLatest Movies from Paris, Texas Director Wim Wenders follows Hirayama (Yakusho Koji), a man living alone in Tokyo who makes a living as a cleaner in public toilets, but in his spare time, he enjoys listening to music, reading, and taking photos of trees. Perfect Days The story isn’t all that interesting, but this Oscar-nominated film is a great look at what it means to be human – after all, what is life if not to take pride in your work and persevere in the little pleasures?

7. Acolyte (Disney Plus)

Yes, that’s another Star Wars Show. But Acolyte There’s a lot to love about this show. First of all, it features a Wookiee Jedi. It’s the fulfillment of all those Star Wars dreams you’ve had since you were 10 years old. Also, this series is Russian DollLeslye Headland, Amandla Stenberg, Lee Jung-jae, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Manny Jacinto ( The Good Place!) is solid. Acolyte This film is set long before the prequels, so it doesn’t visit Tatooine or mention the name “Skywalker.” That alone makes it worth watching.

6. Monkey Man (peacock)

Dev Patel has poured blood, sweat and hard work into his directorial debut. Monkey Man It tells the story of a man named Kid (Patel) who plots revenge against the men who took everything from him. John Wick It’s no imitation, it’s a genuinely made film, and it has some bone-crunching action scenes.

Five. Presumed innocent (Apple TV Plus)

Presumed innocent This all-star legal thriller, created by David E. Kelley and produced by J.J. Abrams, stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a lead assistant prosecutor accused of murder. According to Apple TV Plus, “The series explores the power and limitations of obsession, sex, politics and love as the accused struggle to save their family and marriage.” Fun fact: Gyllenhaal’s role was originally played by Harrison Ford in the 1990 film of the same name.

Four. Hitman (Netflix)

Hitman is funny, sexy and glamorous. So why didn’t this crowd-pleasing film get a theatrical release? “I don’t know,” said director Richard Linklater. Decider Speaking about the lack of studio interest in his film, he said: “People are scared. [The movie] It’s not one thing. This is not a Hitman movie.” Hitman If this film, starring the incredibly hot duo of Glen Powell and Adria Arjona, proves to be a big enough hit for Netflix that it will likely result in a 4,000-screen sequel. 2. House of the Dragon (Max)

I’ll try to offer up some short and not-so-sweet random thoughts I had while watching the entire season a few days ago. First, here’s the bookend approach:
– When the credits rolled for the first episode, the first thing I thought was, “Wow, I’ve never seen that body part on a TV show before.”
