West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department officers have arrested one male suspect and are searching for another assailant who assaulted a victim in the 7300 block of Santa Monica Boulevard on February 15th.
The assault with a deadly weapon occurred around 1:20 a.m. when the victim and two men got into an argument as they were walking on the sidewalk. Two suspects carrying flashlights struck the victim. The assault was recorded on security camera footage.
Police found one of the suspects a short distance from the crime scene and took him into custody. No suspect was identified. Investigators are searching for a second suspect, described as an adult male, possibly white, approximately 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighing 190 pounds. The video shows the suspect walking his dog.
No information was provided regarding the victim’s injuries. The Sheriff’s Department has released a video of the assault, which can be viewed by visiting lasdvideos.org/mediaportal/whd.
