Movie and TV fans will be feeling as green as shamrocks and colored light beer next month, as Netflix recently revealed its lineup of massive departures scheduled for March. Dew.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, that’s where the Man of Steel and his friends depart from here. Recent live-action DC superhero stories like Wonder Woman, Shazam, Superman, and Suicide Squad have been great and terrifying, and they’ll be hanging up their mantles somewhere else after March. (Probably Max since it’s a Warner Bros. production, but who knows what WB will do these days. They’ll probably drop them into a volcano for a tax break or something.) Unfortunately, John -Wick was staying at the Continental. Many of his streaming services have also ended, as the first of his three films, The Assassin Who Revenges the Dog, Descends the World’s Longest Staircase, will be available soon from Netflix. He has only one correct reaction to such terrible news.
If you’re looking for more awards than action and more engrossing drama than headshots, check out Greta Gerwig’s latest film, Barbie, which is lauded for winning Best Picture. Watch the Oscar nominee “Lady Bird.” “Jackie Brown” before being played from the Netflix stage by loud, intrusive music. And if serious award-winning films of the past and present set the mood for laughter, the classic cozy comedies “It’s Complicated”, “Meet the Parents”, “My Best”・Be sure to check out “Friends Wedding” before it ends.

(I didn’t even realize the fact that Netflix would lose “Community” in March, further proof that we’re living in the darkest of timelines.)
