Does anyone really want to travel the entire world on foot? In the grasslands, you will gain access to your first chocobo, Pico. But there’s a catch! First you have to track down and fight the missing chocobo, but the tracking part proves to be the most difficult. This is where you’ll find Pico in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth!
How to follow the trajectory in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
To complete Follow in the Footprints, follow the missing Chocobo’s footprints in the mud outside Bill’s Chocobo Farm and tame Pico. To find Pico’s footprints in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, leave the barn and follow the dirt path to the main gate of Bill’s Ranch. Just outside the entrance, you can see the footprints of a large bird that looks like a dinosaur.
The track immediately turns left down a dirt path and continues through the forest for a while before turning right at a fork in the road. Keep following this right-hand path, paying attention to the diminishing footprints in the mud, and you’ll definitely come across a clearing planted with yellow wildflowers and his three chocobos. Pico is on the other side.
Upon entering the clearing, a short cutscene will play, with the party discussing stalking Pico but never killing him. A mini-game to catch your first chocobo will now begin. Move carefully and quietly to compete for vehicles.
