The most anticipated new anime is Re:Monster. There are plenty of anime that depict a man’s rise from the bottom to the top, but this new series might take things to another level. But how can you be sure? Is the hype worth it?Here’s why we think Re:Monster It’s one of the most anticipated shows of 2024 so far. stream Re:Monster On Crunchyroll.
What is “Re:Monster”?
The premise of this new anime may be a little familiar to some fans. This is because it is an isekai style that will be explained later. Fans of this type of anime are in for something special. Re:Monster The story follows Kanata Tomokui, a former human who wakes up in a fantasy world after being murdered in a futuristic city. Death is the end for most people. For Kanata, that’s just the beginning. He is no longer human, but a bald, green-skinned infant goblin. Given the name Gobrow, he is fortunate to retain the memories of his world and is endowed with higher intelligence than other goblins.
They also have the ability to absorb the properties of the food they eat. This unique combination allows Kanata to grow much better than in his hometown, and nothing can stop him in this new world. But that doesn’t mean he’s safe by any means. This new place is cruel and unforgiving, but full of magic and opportunity. He’ll need all his strength, smarts, and a strong stomach if he has any hope of surviving this action-packed fantasy.
It’s kind of nostalgic. The series, which is based on the light novel and manga series of the same name, is basically That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime However, it does come with goblins and more weirdness, at least if the anime chooses to adapt it faithfully to the source material. Re:Monster It premiered on April 4th and only one episode has been released yet. The pilot did a great job of establishing the main characters, but we still don’t know much about the world. More will be revealed as time goes on, but then again, if the series follows the original, it may not be for the faint of heart.
Why the hype?
the hype of Re:Monster may have a lot to do with the similarities with That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, both follow characters who are reincarnated into fantasy worlds at the bottom of the totem pole, before rising through the ranks to become more powerful. The protagonists are similar in that they inherit the characteristics of the things they consume. It also has a special edge to it. Although it was stated that the original work may not be for all readers, the manga is quite tame. It can be violent and brutal, but at a manageable level that even teenagers can handle. Light novels were more free. I won’t go into the explicit details, but I’ll just point out that it contains a scene of sexual assault and move on.
Re:Monster is one of the most anticipated anime series of 2024, and being otherworldly also adds to its hype, as this genre of anime is extremely popular. Isekai is a subgenre of anime where it is common for characters to die, be reborn in an alternate reality, and be forced to survive in a new existence. It follows many tropes, such as a powerful protagonist being able to defeat almost everyone. It also allows the audience to learn about the world at the same pace as the protagonist over time.
Another thing I’m looking forward to is the casting. Takuya Sato is the voice of Goburou (also known as Tomokui Kanata). jojo’s bizarre adventure He gained fame by voicing Caesar Antonio Zeppeli. Then Ai Kakuma (Miranda) spy classroom) Gomon role Kana Ueda (Rin Tohsaka, fate/zero) Gobue, Mai Kanno (Sarah Wilson, Yakuza guide Babysitter) Akagami Short. These are just a few of the names that have lent their voices to some of the most popular anime of the past decade.
There is a lot of trust placed in the cast of the popular production, and fans should be relieved to see these names on the cast list. But if Re:Monster After all, it’s not a show that fans look forward to. There are still many different worlds to choose from. However, given that the show is still new, keep watching and decide for yourself if it’s worth the hype.
