Fever general manager Lin Dunn told me last summer, before the team hit the Clark Lottery, that he would be disappointed if he didn’t make the playoffs in 2024.
“Our goal is definitely to get back to our championship habits,” Clark said.
Indiana last reached the postseason in 2016 with Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings. Clark said he vividly remembers Catchings on the air during a game his freshman year at the University of Iowa.
“We were tweaking it,” Clark said. “I couldn’t believe she called my game.”

Caitlin Clark talks to the media after becoming number one. She thinks her passing ability will lead to the WNBA, and she’s headed to an organization that has one of the best post players “in the entire world,” she said. She said, “My point guard eyes light up when I see that.”
It’s pretty surreal #WNBADraft This is easily the second most popular draft in sports this year. #WNBA
Happy Draft Night from Brooklyn Academy of Music. So far, things are going according to plan with Caitlin Clark heading to Indiana (to loud applause in the event space) and Cameron Brink heading to the Los Angeles Sparks. It’s a perfect fit, both talent-wise and geographically.
How to watch the WNBA Draft
The excitement of the Women’s NCAA Tournament is over and it’s time for the 2024 WNBA Draft. This year, all eyes are on Caitlin Clark, the presumptive No. 1 draft pick and current former Iowa Hawkeyes guard who currently holds the NCAA Division I all-time male and female scoring records (among other things). . But Clark wasn’t the only NCAA basketball star to take to the pro court this season. LSU’s Angel Reese announced her intent to be drafted through her own profile published in Vogue magazine. Clark and Reese will be joined by Cameron Brink of Stanford University, Camila Cardoso of the University of South Carolina, Rikea Jackson of the University of Tennessee and Aaliyah Edwards of the University of Connecticut.
