Forever Yamato REBEL 3199 (PC:YouTube)
The Space Battleship Yamato remake anime series has released the second teaser trailer for the first chapter of the latest work, Space Battleship Yamato: Forever REBEL 3199, titled “Pet Black Invasion.” This 30-second clip was first aired in the first episode of the series, “Space Battleship Yamato.” “Space Battleship Yamato 2202 Warriors of Love” will be distributed on YouTube EMOTION Label channel and will be released in Japan on April 19th.
The video includes footage from Space Battleship Yamato and Wave Experimental Ship Ginga. The first installment of the new seven-chapter series is scheduled to be released in Japan on July 19, 2024.
Be Forever Yamato REBEL 3199 new teaser released
The official website for the next remake of Space Battleship Yamato, “Yamato Forever: Rebel 3199,” has released a teaser trailer for the first installment, “Black Divine Strategy.” The teaser previews the Grand Reverse, a mysterious giant object in Earth’s path, and an eerie message ordering the Yamato crew to regroup. The anime will be screened in seven parts starting July 19th.
The new cast members joining the new film are:

- Ageha Takeyaku Yuto Uemura
- Kosuke Toriumi as Seiya Kitano
The new anime will be directed by Naomichi Yamato, with Harutoshi Fukui serving as the director and scriptwriter. Hideki Oka will co-write the screenplay, and Nobuteru Yuki will continue to serve as the character designer. Mechanical design is by Junichiro Tamamori, Mika Aki, and Yasushi Ishizu. The CG producer is Hiroyuki Goto, and the CG director is Shosuke Uechi. The sound director is Tomohiro Yoshida.
The late producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki is credited with the original work, and his son Shoji Nishizaki serves as executive producer and copyright supervisor. Akira Miyagawa will continue to compose the music along with Hide Kanematsu. His late father, Hiroshi Miyagawa, is also credited as the composer of the original Space Battleship Yamato.
In a previous talk event, Mr. Fukui said about the Garmillas remnant empire that appeared in “Space Battleship Yamato III” and “Final Chapter Yamato,” that “Of course Garman Garmillas will appear” in the new anime. He also confirmed that the project will be his 26 episode length. Director Fukui later stated that despite the film’s title, the story begins in 2207. He clarified that the story won’t immediately warp to 3199.
Overview of “Yamato Forever REBEL 3199”
Yamato Forever, also known as Star Blazers REBEL 3199, is an upcoming 26-episode full-length anime series and a direct sequel to Space Battleship Yamato 2205: A New Voyage. This series was announced in the final scene of the second 2205 film, Part 2: Starsha.
The anime’s official website describes the story as follows:
“The year is 2207 AD. Two years have passed since the disappearance of Garmillas and Iskandar. Suddenly, a mysterious gigantic celestial body ‘Grand Reverse’ appears in the solar system. The Earth Defense Force’s strenuous efforts are in vain, and ‘Grand Reverse’ has many layers. A group of descending soldiers appeared without a sound, easily breaking through the defenses.
A multi-legged tank lands. In the blink of an eye, the capital was captured. Is there no way to resist Earth? At that time, the crew of the old Yamato fleet receives a top secret command. “Gather to Yamato!” Then a mysterious singing voice is heard. The mysterious man mutters, “I’m back.” What is the surprising identity of the invaders? With the survival of humanity at stake, Space Battleship Yamato’s journey to an unexplored space and time begins now.
The drama aspect is also becoming more and more fulfilling. Moriyuki is captured by enemy officer Alfon, Kodai Susumu is unable to escape his remorse, and their love is put to the test of separation. Furthermore, Starsha’s orphan Sasha will also be heavily involved. A tense and intense battle unfolds in which all the characters act according to their own will, and the meaning of the battle is once again questioned.
