Year of gloves and smooth hidden hands

The 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (also known as the SAG Awards) were held Saturday at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles, and many stars wore gloves as they walked the red carpet.

Many celebrities have joined in on the trend, from Joey King and Kathryn Hahn in sheer black opera gloves to Laverne Cox and Barbra Streisand in short black leather gloves.

Joey King hit the red carpet wearing a sheer ankle-length black and nude dress from Givenchy’s Spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection and several pieces of Pomellato jewelry. The star styled the strapless look with matching sheer opera gloves that stopped just above the elbows.

Laverne Cox

Laverne Cox attended the show wearing a vintage Alexander McQueen jacket, a Bao Tranqui bodysuit, and a custom Morgan Foote skirt. Cox accessorized the all-black look with a vintage Christian Dior necklace and custom Gallo gloves in soft black velvet.

Kathryn Hahn

Kathryn Hahn wore a color-block off-shoulder dress by Givenchy. To accessorize, Hearn styled her look with sheer black opera gloves and matching sheer point-toe ballet flats.

Greta Lee

Greta Lee, one of the best-dressed women of the night, arrived at the show wearing a textured off-the-shoulder dress from The Row’s Resort 2023 collection. The floor-length ivory dress was styled with black leather slouchy gloves.

barbra streisand

Barbra Streisand received the Lifetime Achievement Award wearing a floor-length gold gown covered by a black velvet jacket with gold embroidery. The star styled her look with short black leather gloves.
