Google Wallet automatically archives passes when they expire, but the app now has the option to manually archive and unarchive them.
At the bottom of the path details[削除]In addition to options (open and tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner)[アーカイブ]and[アーカイブ解除]is now also displayed. This is useful if you don’t want to permanently delete something, but your wallet home screen is too crowded, or Google is taking too long to remove your Travel Pass.
It is also useful for paths that are not automatically archived (if they do not have an associated expiration date). Previously saved passes and loyalty cards can be archived, but passes and loyalty cards added from Gmail cannot be archived because the only option is to delete them.
The pass will appear in the existing “Archived” section at the bottom of your wallet’s home screen and can be returned. However, this list is sorted by newest first, so you may need to scroll through your previous boarding passes first (which allows you to return to the home screen for any reason).
Archiving and unarchiving was recently rolled out, with Google mentioning the ability to hide unused paths in Wear OS, where scrolling through long lists isn’t ideal. This feature wasn’t available when Google introduced passes and loyalty cards on your watch late last year. It was probably added to coincide with his official announcement at MWC 2024 earlier this week.
